  • A handsome white townhouse located in Holland Park required a caring and considered hand to replant the rear garden, and create a planting design scheme for the front that is sympathetic to the property’s vernacular.

    All of the hard-landscaping had been installed ready for Butterworth Horticulture to source and supply the plants. The soft-landscaping team helped to create instant impact and add an assortment of show-stopping late-summer colour.

  • Formal structure decorated in clouds of perennial colour, knitted together with textural ground cover.

    Typical of a London garden, the front had been built at various levels. To create structure in the larger beds, yew domes create an undulating framework from which clouds of blooms rise.

    Sparkling seedheads of Molinia ‘Transparent’ glitter above clouds of vibrant Symphotrichum, perennial geraniums spreading to create a bed of ground cover. Leathery Asplenium and fragrant Daphne provide year-round texture and interest.

    Nearer the house, vivid blue Agapanthus and lacy heads of Hydrangea ‘Limelight’ nod over aromatic Nepeta racemosa ‘Walker’s Low’ for a cheerful approach to the house.

  • The rear garden had all of the hard-landscaping elements installed, with few perennial plants dotted in the various beds that span the garden on multi-levels.

    We were tasked to fill the beds with vibrant seasonal colour and plant Wisteria as specified over arches in the garden.

    A colour palette of dreamy pinks and purples, such as Verbena, Salvia and Agapanthus, grow from an evergreen structure of Rosmarinus prostratus and Trachelospermum jasminoides that delicately creep over walls.

  • We continue to care for this beautiful space.

    Our aftercare division has the pleasure to revisit this beautiful space as one of our maintenance contracts. The team care for the plants on a week-by-week basis, including all seasonal work, whether that be planting spring bulbs or sweeping autumn debris. We continue to replenish the garden with seasonal colour and make sure that it is pruned and preened to perfection.
